Travelling Artisan Popup (TAP) is a collective supporting female artisans from across the globe.
From 2016-2026 TAP had a shop at Gabriel's Wharf. Owned by Mariatu Turay, the shop was an expansion of Gita’s Portal, her online lifestyle store selling apparel, accessories, gifts, and homeware. Turay now provides retail opportunities for female artisans through market pop-ups, plus a business support network.
At their market stalls discover one‑of‑a‑kind pieces made by talented female designers including clothing, striking accessories, and distinctive homeware. Many of their items are fashioned from bold African prints - perfect for anyone seeking something refreshingly different and colourful.
