Living Memory - Coin Street heritage projectLiving Memory Coin Street Heritage Project

Living Memory is a heritage project based in Waterloo, South Bank and Bankside, encouraging local people to engage with and record the history of the area.

Since it began in October 2009, the project has collated the heritage of individuals, community groups and organisations across the local area, reflecting how it has changed and developed within living memory, with a particular emphasis on diversity and community action.

Living Memory Coin Street Heritage Project

So far over 300 local people have engaged in heritage trips, history walks,
inter-generational workshops, film screenings, oral histories, art workshops and community events, which culminated in a very successful exhibition of the project’s work in 2011.
