Dads' and male carers' group

The Dads' and Male carers' group evolved from celebrating the fatherhood and male carers’ event in February 2008. The main objective of the group is to promote positive parenting and the sessions focus on activities with high quality interaction between dads and their children.

Workshops are set up by the dads and include tailoring, cookery, woodwork and advice on men’s health.

In 2009 we completed a film project and made a short film about being a dad in today’s society hosted at the British Film Institute on the South Bank. In 2010 we organised a Dad’s and kids camping holiday to Kingsdale International Camping Centre. The children and their dads had a memorable time together.
