Sculpture and Sport: a celebration for 2012

Scuplture and Spot: a celebration for 2012 exhibition at gallery@oxo in SE1 London South Bank

Art at the Edge CIC will be showing a collection of 30 bronze sculptural studies by 30 artists of 30 different Olympic and Paralympic sports.

The sculptors have been selected from across the UK to contribute different approaches and styles and to reflect a cross-section of contemporary British sculpture. Each sculptor chose a different sport and was given the opportunity to liaise with a representative of their chosen sport’s national governing body to gain insight into its character and dynamics. This striking collection was cast at Pangolin, the leading sculpture foundry in Europe.

All the sculptures are for sale. The profits from the project will be used to support disadvantaged and disabled young people through the life changing work of the Youth Sport Trust and British Paralympic Association.
