New to Gabriel's Wharf, Jianhui London offers a range of beautiful hand-made haute couture costume jewellery. The inspiration behind the brand is Jianhui Yan. Having grown up in a rural village in one of the poorest areas of China, Jianhui (pronounced Janway), which means ‘building a splendid life’, was given this name by his mother who hoped one day her son would achieve great things. As a child Jianhui would spend his days in the mountains where he became fascinated by the wonderful array of bright pink, purple and orange flowers, which were in total contrast to the grey and impoverish life he led. When he arrived in London and saw the jewellery women were wearing he was inspired to recreate the beautiful flowers that had captured his childhood imagination in elegant pieces of jewellery. |
