The Coin Street nursery and out of school provision provides a range of high quality, affordable family and children’s programmes in a safe, stimulating, educational and friendly environment. The centre is Ofsted registered and is the designated Children’s Centre for the area.
It is part of the centre’s remit to promote a 'healthy living' ethos throughout its activities and programmes. The walking school bus that serves six local schools and the nursery’s on-site kitchen where a range of healthy meals are devised and dished up are just a couple of examples.
The centre has already introduced strands of 'healthy living' into its existing programmes such as food demonstrations and tasters as part of the children’s events and the free family drop ins on Thursdays. The centre is also working in partnership with Colombo Street Community and Sports Centre to develop and provide a range of activities from First Aid courses, Pampering Days to sports activities/days devised specifically for local families.
