Coin Street Consultancy has a strong tailored team of committed and reliable in-house and external practitioners with a broad mix of skills and experience from both the third and private sectors.

Iain Tuckett, Group Director, Coin Street Community Builders

Iain Tuckett - Group Director

Iain has led the Coin Street Community Builders team as Group Director since its inception in 1984, having been instrumental in the earlier campaigns. He is also deputy chairman of South Bank Employers’ Group; honorary secretary of Thames Festival Trust, Coin Street Centre Trust, Colombo Street Community & Sports Centre, and Coin Street Secondary Housing Co-operative; and a board member of North Lambeth & North Southwark Sports Action Zone. He was awarded an Honorary Fellowship at London South Bank University in 2003 for his service to the local community and is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects having led Coin Street Community Builders to win RIBA Client of the Year in 2008.

Kate Swade - Consultancy Programme Manager

Kate is the most recent member of the team and is responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of consultancy services to Coin Street’s clients. Before joining Coin Street, she was a consultant at Solon Community Network supporting housing association tenants and advising major regeneration programmes. Prior to this, she built her experience at the Environment Trust, an innovative development trust in East London, co-ordinating community led development projects, managing the Trust’s commercial property and delivering consultancy services through Environment Trust Associates. She gained a good understanding of planning through working at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) to co-ordinate Defra’s inputs into the reforms of the planning system.

Pete Stephens, Finance Director, Coin Street Community Builders

Pete Stephens - Finance Director

Pete has been with Coin Street for 24 years and has overseen the growth of the Coin Street Group to a £9million turnover business with diverse income streams. He has been instrumental in attracting development finance for housing, community and commercial developments, as well as managing relationships with financial stakeholders.
